Per Evan Grant, Hambone could run the bases and outfield full-speed, slide, and get a little dirty this weekend as a prelude to a mid-week rehab assignment. This could lead in turn to a return date as early at 7/6, the 1st game of the LAA road trip, in what amounts to an astonishing recovery timeline. It is also a bit frightening as pushing himself beyond the pale is risky to say the least. I can only assume and hope that he has has been fully cleared by the medical staff.
Bmac will soft toss this weekend as a prelude to a throwing program. He has been shut down almost a month, and I would expect about a 3-4 week throwing/strengthening program that might put him back on the staff sometime in the last week of July. I would expect that sticking Bmac in the pen would be the biggest move the rangers would make at the trading deadline. We'll see.
And finally, this tidbit from EG on Feliz:
"The Rangers think Feliz could be ready for his big league bullpen debut by the start of the second half, but they will test him on back-to-back days - the big physical test of recovery - before they promote him. "
