Content Update

Ok, so after doing an in depth summary of the 2008-2009 July 2 International Bonus babies over the last week or so, I have expanded the International Rankings worksheet to encompass the top 26 Latin Americans who have yet to make their stateside debuts. In addition I have inserted a summary worksheet of all the players from this FA class (see "worksheet goodness" in the sidebar).

As for the this years July 2 class, I will be doing a full-fledged preview of the entire international class about a week after the draft, reviewing the top candidates from Latin America to the Pacific rim for all MLB teams The comprehensive summary itself will be in worksheet form - what else? - that will include all of the names that I have come across in the last 6 months. That worksheet will break down the signing class by regions, teams, positions, front-runners, estimated bonus ranges, and interested teams. It will also have brief profiles where I can find any info.

The narrative component of the preview will focus on TX in general, but also attempt to map the terrain for the top 25 players in this year's class. So, yeah, keep an eye out for that stuff around the 15th or so. It might take a couple of installmentes.

I'm also going to be doing a modest Rangers' draft preview over the course of the next few days for what it is worth. And I will be doing a ghost draft for the Rangers through rounds 6-8 more or less. Now that I have resubscribed to Baseball America, I have access to all of that prospecty goodness that we all love so much!

Cheers!
