acquired from Colorado for cash considerations. The 32.5yo RHP Grilli was placed on waivers last week or so. He had a great year in middle relief last year but has thrown close to 80ip out of the pen the last 2 years at age 30.5, 31.5. His velo is still impressive as he still sits at about 93 with a hard slider. However, he is getting hit hard with a large increase in line drives and fly balls with a concomitant decrease in ground balls (by about 1/2!). His BABIP is .450 so this is both flukey and an indication that he is having command issues, getting everything up. Well, let's hope Maddux can once again work his magic and that this means that Benson is released.

OT: MaxRam has been activated for AAA and Gold DL'd.

OT2: I'm about to post my player rankings for the draft 42-135ish grouped by tier. I'll be doing a ghost draft for each of the Rangers picks today and probably tomorrow through the 7th or 8th round more or less.
