FranFran to be activated for todays game. The plan is to use him in the 7th or 8th for his first couple of outings and not back to back.

This makes little sense to me, as if he will pitch less like a closer, with less intensity, in another role. If you wan't him to pitch in an environment with less stress then keep him in the minors. It sounds like he isn't ready and shouldn't be activated until he can be used as a closer on back to back days. If he gets hurt again in this role someone's head should roll.

Moscoso will be sent down to accommodate FranFRan. Nippert will start on Sunday in AA.


In Rangers draft news, the BA draft database shows that TX spent less than I thought on their 6-8th round picks:
6 - Ruben Sierra, 125k
7 - Braxton Lane, 125k
8 - Tullis, 90k
