Sierra Jr. among six draftees to sign
Texas has signed the following six selections from the 2009 June draft, the club’s first batch of signings: OF Ruben Sierra Jr. (6th round), C Vincent DiFazio (12), RHP Sam Brown (22), SS Danny Lima (23), SS Shon Landry (31), and 3B Taylor Vail (40).

Thanks for the update. Here's a link to a story out of the Mercury News about Vail. As a 22 year old freshman, he pretty much had to sign, but there are some interesting quotes from an unnamed Mariners scout:
