I'm stoked about this pick for two reasons. One, it indicates that the TX scouts think that Purke is likely to realize his ceiling as a frontline starter and will be superior to the 4 top college pitchers currently on the board. This is absolutely fantastic. Second, it indicates that this franchise is not going to pass on an elite player based on his bonus demands; no more Porcellos thanks. Terrific choice.
