The Ryan O'Malley mystery solved

Scott Lucas had this brief explanation about Frisco's newest pitching acquisition. It turns out, thank god, that he is the new assistant pitching coach. I guess he will sit on the DL for the rest of the season for service time reasons like Jason Hart did last year:

Per the State Journal-Register (Springfield, IL), the Rangers have hired former MLB starter Ryan O’Malley to assist pitching coach Jeff Andrews in Frisco. He seems enthusiastic: http://tinyurl.com/muxkz2.

The thing that caught my eye was the suggestion that he might catch on with a facility in Mexico to learn how to evaluate talent. I wonder if this is an official TX facility or a Mexican club. TX has signed 2-3 Mexican players the last 2 years so maybe they have had an expanded presence there maybe since 2007 ish...

Also, I noted some days ago that Josh Lueke was placed on the suspended list. Well, it gets worse. He has been incarcerated on rape charges.
